Muscadet is much maligned but examples like this prove this to be very unfair. This is Muscadet at its very best and is a serious bottle of white. Bone dry, crisp but with a distinct creaminess underneath the ripe green apple skin, citrus and rhubarb flavours. Has a cleansing long, minerally, creamy finish and is ideal with shellfish or just as an apertif. This is the wine that should convert you to a much ignored style.
